Family Circle, Overlooking the Rhine
7; 5m, 2f
The year is 2007. American financial collapse looms. Working at the New York Investing Journal is about as mundane as an office job gets. But every year, the employees of this small publishing firm head uptown to get their annual taste of godhood at the Metropolitan Opera, way up the nosebleed seats of the Family Circle. The operas are Wagner's epic drama of Gods and Men, The Ring Cycle, as seen over the course of 5 years. Before it's all over, each of these seven regular men and women, working their mundane jobs, living their mundane lives, will know what it is to experience the Twilight of the Gods.
